Meet Oliver

Oliver is a 3 year old male Pug who weighs in at 25 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $500.  If you are still interested, please read more below.

Meet Oliver!

Oliver is the definition of a Velcro dog — if you’re looking for a best friend who will always be by your side, Oliver is your guy. He loves nothing more than being close to his person, whether that means curling up in your lap, snuggling on your chest, or simply being wherever you are. He is truly one of the most loving dogs you will ever meet.

Oliver is incredibly well-behaved, gentle, and respectful of his home. He is not destructive and has free roam of the house while his person is away. He has proven that he can be trusted and is perfectly happy relaxing until you return.

Oliver loves life! He enjoys playing with toys, spending time with other dogs, visiting the dog park, going on walks, and soaking up all the attention he can get. He is also very food motivated and absolutely loves meals, treats, and anything snack-related.

One important thing to know about Oliver is that he needs a home where someone can give him a potty break during the day. He cannot be left alone for longer than about six hours, as holding it too long can lead to urinary tract infections. His ideal family would include someone who could stop home around lunchtime to let him out.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will love you with his whole heart and always want to be near you, Oliver may be the perfect match. He has so much love to give and is ready to find his forever family.

Oliver is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and neutered.  This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

  • Spay/neuter or a certificate for a low-cost spay/neuter when medically recommended
  • Microchip and registration, a permanent identification to reunite lost pets with their owners
  • Initial de-worming and flea and tick treatment
  • Age-appropriate testing for heartworm/FIV-FELV
  • Age-appropriate vaccines
  • Pre-adoption medical exam
  • A certificate for a free healthy pet exam at one of A.R.F.’s participating veterinarians within 7 days of adoption
  • Offer for a no-risk 30 day free trial with Trupanion pet medical insurance

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
