Meet Oreo

Meet Oreo

If you’re looking for a cat with a big personality packed into a petite package, Oreo is your girl!

This beautiful medium-haired tuxedo lady is equal parts cuddle bug, comedian, and conversationalist. Oreo is a true Velcro kitty who wants to be wherever her people are—especially if that means being held, snuggled, or tucked under the covers with you at bedtime. She adores giving kisses and has never met a lap she didn’t like.

Oreo has plenty to say and isn’t shy about using her voice to communicate exactly what she wants. Whether she’s asking for cuddles, dinner, or just sharing her thoughts on the day, you’ll always know what’s on her mind! She also makes the funniest little noises when she’s playing, adding an extra dose of entertainment to her already charming personality.

Despite her dainty size, Oreo has the appetite of a linebacker and approaches mealtime with great enthusiasm. It’s impossible not to laugh at how much this tiny girl loves her food!

Playful and energetic, Oreo enjoys toys, wrestling matches, and romping around with her furry friends. She gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, and other cats. While she’s definitely the queen bee and likes to keep everyone in line, she does so with confidence and charm.

From Street Survivor to Snuggle Expert

Oreo’s journey is as special as she is. She came to us from a colony in Chicago that had taken refuge in an abandoned house slated for demolition. For more than a year, this resilient little girl survived life on the streets. But one thing became clear almost immediately after her rescue—Oreo was absolutely made for indoor life.

She embraced soft beds, regular meals, toys, and endless affection with gusto. Every day, she reminds us just how grateful she is to be safe and loved. Whether she’s curled up under the covers, asking for a snack, or giving sweet kisses, Oreo makes the most of every moment and truly appreciates the comforts of home.

Oreo is the perfect combination of sweet and spunky—a loving companion who will keep you laughing, talking, and feeling adored every single day. If you’re searching for a cuddly best friend who will happily supervise every aspect of your life, Oreo is ready to claim her spot in your heart (and your bed!).

Warning: Oreo may cause excessive smiling, frequent cat kisses, and an irresistible urge to share your pillow.

Oreo is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,  spayed, and litter box trained.

Oreo's adoption fee is $ 135.  If you are interested in meeting Oreo, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
