Meet Steely Dan
They say the camera adds 10lbs ya know? I may be a big guy, but that just means there's much more to me to love than your average cat. I am a very chill, laid back guy in search of all of the affection and attention that I can possibly get. I love to snuggle, bird watch and take naps in the sun. I love to binge watch all of the best shows and promise to make an amazing companion and fellow couch potato. I love to be around people and enjoy being brushed. I'm not really that big into toys. If it's ok with you, I'd rather we just spend our time cuddling. Soft blankets are just the best!
I do just fine with other cats and with gentle kids of any age. I don't really love dogs since they kind of scare me. I am pretty adaptable and would do great in any kind of environment, as long as it comes with lots of love. I'm currently hanging out at the Oswego PetSmart, 350 Fifth St. Come by and check me out. We might just be the perfect match.
Steely Dan is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.
Steely Dan's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Steely Dan, please fill out our Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
