Meet Luna
Looking for a low-maintenance companion who enjoys your company on their own terms? Say hello to Luna, a confident and independent feline who marches to the beat of their own drum.
Luna isn't big on cuddles or constant petting, but she’ll gladly hang out nearby and keep you company with her calm, steady presence. She enjoys her space and prefers respectful interactions – perfect for someone who appreciates a cat with strong boundaries and a cool, collected personality.
Luna enjoys quiet, peaceful environments, bird-watching from a sunny window, treats, toys, and the freedom to explore. She also enjoys humans who understand that love doesn’t always mean lap time. However, this doesn't mean that she doesn't want to interact. Luna's previous owner said that many times she helped her family through mental health issues. In the same way that weighted blankets are often utilized, Luna can sense distress and will sit on your chest and demand love and pets to help you work through your hard times.
Luna would thrive in a home that respects her independence and lets her take the lead in building trust. She would prefer a calm, slow-paced environment. Once she feels safe, she’ll show her affection in subtle, meaningful ways – just don’t expect constant snuggles, and you’ll get along just fine.
Luna grew up with two large dogs, a pittie and a mastiff, so she would do well in a home with dogs. She also grew up with two other cats, Mila and Juno (who are also both available for adoption through ARF) and would do fine with other cats.
Luna is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.
Luna's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Luna, please fill out our Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
