Meet Crystal

Hi! My name is Crystal, and my foster mom says I am just the best!  Not only am I a beautiful, gray and silver tabby with super soft fur and so, so sweet but I am also quite a social butterfly.  I am so social in fact, that I wait patiently by the fenced area for somebody, anybody,  to come join me. All I want to do is join the regular household because that’s where I think things are really happening and I don’t want to miss out.  I loved being a mom and my adorable 5 kittens are just as sweet as I am.  Luckily, they got my personality. But I am now ready for my forever home.

I love everybody and am somewhat of a busy body, so I do like to follow you around to check out what you might be doing. I love to be petted and will nuzzle you as my way of saying ‘I love you’.  I’m young, estimated to be about a year and a half old and like to play with toys, such as glitter balls, wants, strings, rubber bands, etc. or whatever, as I’m very good at entertaining myself.

I should also mention, I am very smart.  My kittens and I were initially in connecting pens and I immediately realized that when the tops were open, I could just jump out. So, that’s what I would do when I needed a little mommy break.  Now that we’re all out of the pens it’s the highlight of my day when we have visitors. I immediately have to run over to say Hi and introduce myself, preferably as you pet me.

I’m not a fan of dogs because I used to go outside and my foster mom assumes I did not have very good experiences with them. I also needed to protect my kittens so I would not let any come near us. I am used to dogs barking and possibly with a very slow introduction, I could acclimate.  But my preference would be no dogs.

I also like to watch birdie shows on TV when I am just hanging out, so a TV or window hopefully isn’t too much to ask for.  My preference is to watch TV on your lap, cuddling with you, so I’m hoping that’s ok. I’m  chatty, but polite and soft spoken, using different sounds to explain to you what I’m talking about.

I am a true food lover and would appreciate someone who agrees with how incredible food is. My foster mom keeps telling me, I’m just the best and she will miss me so much, but knows I’ll be happy in my forever home, once I find it.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
