Meet Fanta
Hi! My name is Fanta, and my foster mom says I am just the most beautiful and loving calico foster cat she has ever had! Not only am I a beautiful, orange, white and black calico with the biggest eyes you have ever seen, with the softest fur ever, and so, so sweet but I am also quite a social butterfly. I am so social in fact, that all I want to do is leave the foster room to join the regular household because that’s where I think things are really happening and I don’t want to miss out. I loved being a mom and my adorable 3 kittens are just as sweet as I am. Luckily, they got my personality. But I am now ready for my forever home.
I love everybody and am somewhat of a busy body, as I do like to follow you around to check out what you might be doing. I actually prefer to be with you, just hanging out, doing happy feet, as long as you’re near me. All you have to do is pat your leg or call me and I run right over because I love to be petted and will nuzzle you as my way of saying ‘I love you’. I’m young, estimated to be about a year and a half old and like to play with toys, such as glitter balls, wants,
strings, rubber bands, etc. or whatever. I’m also a fan of cardboard scratchers.
I should also mention, I am very smart. One day in my foster home, I figured out how to get out of the foster room and proceeded to trot up the stairs to say good morning to whomever was up there. Out of over 200 foster cats, only one other cat was able to figure it out and she was feral.
I’m not a fan of dogs because I probably used to go outside and my foster mom assumes I did not have any good experiences with them. I also needed to protect my kittens so would not let any come near us, even the resident dogs. I am used to dogs barking and possibly with a very slow introduction, I could acclimate, but my preference is no dogs.
I also like to watch birdie shows on TV when I am just hanging out, so a TV or window hopefully isn’t too much to ask for. My preference is to watch TV on your lap, cuddling with you, so I’m hoping that’s ok. I’m chatty, but polite and soft spoken, using different sounds to explain to you what I’m talking about.
I am a true food lover and would appreciate someone who agrees with how incredible food is. My foster mom keeps telling me, I am soooo pretty and am truly such a lovey-dovey and she will miss me so much, but knows I’ll be happy in my forever home, once I find it.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
