Meet Daisy
Daisy is a 7 year old female Bichon who weighs in at 12 pounds. This dog's adoption fee is $450. If you are still interested, please read more below.
Daisy spent her life in a puppy mill. She is gradually learning about the ways of the world outside of the only life she knew. Daisy is looking for a patient home where she can have the time to adjust and bond with her human(s). If given a patient, gentle, kind approach Daisy can form an attachment to you. She is a dainty, affectionate girl who wants to come to you on her terms and then likes to be the main recipient of your attention. She will likely do ok with another small dog who will be submissive to her – like being willing to give up their spot by the human if Daisy would like it. Daisy is afraid of the larger dogs in her foster’s neighborhood. She liked other small rescued dogs.
Daisy is not a fan of being picked up, so ARF requests no young children. She is timid with any new people but will follow her humans everywhere and sought out pets after the first week or two in her foster home.
Daisy does not understand the outside world is for potty. To her it is a scary place with many unfamiliar noises. In her foster home with hardwood floors, she reliably used potty pads. In a foster home with carpet, this has been more challenging. Her foster is working on potty training and this will be an ongoing training for any adopter.
Daisy enjoys sitting inside in the sun and looking out the window. She has recently learned how to do stairs.
Do you have it in your heart to open your home to Daisy? If you do, in time she will become your loyal companion!
Daisy is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
