Meet Spice

Spice is a three legged 3 year old female Yorkie who weighs in at 4.4 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $600.  If you are still interested, please read more below.

Spice is just the sweetest little girl.  She arrived at ARF on 6/15/25.  She was spayed and had a dental on 6/12/25 and unfortunately had to have her back right leg amputated on 6/30/25 due to a bad hip socket.  She has been cleared by the vet and is ready for her forever home.  She would do best in a home with someone around most of the time since she doesn’t like to be all by herself for very long.  She’s a big time snuggler and follows her people around from room to room constantly.  When her foster parents are busy she can be found hanging out with her canine foster brother and sisters.  Given how tiny she is, she would probably do best in a home with adults only or a family with older kids who can give her space when needed.  We’re still working on house training, but if her foster parents see her walking a big circle in the room that means she’s needing to go outside.

Spice is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and spayed.  This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
