Meet Maxwell
Hi! My name is Maxwell and it is truly a pleasure to be talking to all of you. I am a black kitty with surprisingly fluffy fur. My foster mom says that she always wants to bury her face in it! I adore affection, am super friendly and outgoing, but I also don’t mind spending some time lounging around while you’re at work. My hobbies include eating dry food, messing around with little puffball toys, and finding the nearest human or pet friend to snuggle with. I grew up in a house with A LOT of cats so I love feline companionship and would be happy going to a house with other cats, with a nice canine friend, or to a house that only has humans. It truly does not matter to me, as long as you’re willing to provide unlimited snuggles.
Ooo and I wanted to mention – I absolutely adore getting belly rubs. I roll on the floor all the time and will shower you with cute poses, just to make you want to pet me more. If you want to meet me, come visit the Countryside PetSmart! I’m really looking forward to seeing you and finding my forever home!
Maxwell is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained. Maxwell’s adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Maxwell, please fill out our online kitten adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ today! Once your application has been approved, an A.R.F. volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
