Meet Inchworm

So you know what everyone says about orange kitties, right?  That they share a brain cell, that they're crazy and silly?  Well, it is quite possible that Inchworm here is their leader!  With the utmost love and adoration I say that Inchworm might just be the "derpiest" looking of orange cats.  His absolutely adorable little face sports two eyes that are neither symmetrical or the same shape, as well as slightly cross-eyed, giving him the cutest of vacant looks.

Not only are Inchworm's looks just the cutest, but his personality is one of pure insanity crossed with sweet snuggles.  He can often be found chasing his own tail and whapping his paws at your toes beneath a blanket.  He can't seem to have enough toys....ANY toys.  Wand toys and lasers are his favorite, and boy does he have that crazy kitten energy.  He leaps and flips like it's nobody's business.  When he's not playing, Inchworm can fall asleep in some of the craziest positions....head back, mouth open...just check out his pics.  He loves, loves, loves piles of blankets and fluffy warm beds.  He absolutely loves to snuggle.  He also loves being high up in his cat tree where he can look out the window.

Don't miss out on what could very well be the "orangest" of all orange cats.  I don't think it's his turn for the brain cell anytime soon, so he's bound to provide endless laughs and entertainment.  Not to mention, he's an amazing companion.

Inchworm is just a little guy and definitely needs a playful cat or dog friend in his new home. Don't have one?  That's ok.  Inchworm's bestie is Parrot, who is also available for adoption.  They have so much fun together and would be a great pair.  He would do great in a high-energy home, as well as a quiet home.  He just wants all of the love that he can get.  Kids, cats and dogs are all fine with him!  This easy-going guy can't wait to find his forever home.

We encourage you to consider adopting kittens in pairs!  There are several reasons why Inchworm would do good with a friend, including:

-Two kittens keep each other entertained - they will play and get all their energy out on each other in time for snuggles with you!

-Having two kittens to play with each other prevents "I'm lonely and bored" behavioral issues.

-Watching two kittens wrestle is quite possibly the cutest thing you will ever see.

-The kittens will teach each other "how to cat" and learn to be more social with humans and people.

-You'll save two lives instead of one!

Inchworm is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.

Inchworm's adoption fee is $165.  Please note A.R.F. does not approve applications for any kitten under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL.

  • Age-appropriate vaccines
  • Pre-adoption medical exam
  • A certificate for a free healthy pet exam at one of A.R.F.’s participating veterinarians within 7 days of adoption

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
