Meet Gema
Gema is a 1 year old female Bernedoodle who weighs in at 45 pounds. This dog's adoption fee is $650. If you are still interested, please read more below.
Meet Gema! This supremely affectionate goofball came to ARF as an owner surrender and will be available to adopt after her spay on July 7th!
Some things to know about Gema:
1) She loves her people. Her magic wand colored tail is constantly wagging when her people are around, even when she smacks herself in the face with it, it doesn't stop!
2) She loves to cuddle. Especially while she is waking up in the morning. After a quick trip outside, she loves to curl up on the couch (or on you, on the couch) and get ear rubs, butt scritches, or belly rubs.
3) She is fully housebroken, and crate trained. She is super smart and has quickly learned commands like "Let's go outside" or "Let's go to bed" and she will go towards the correct parts of the house.
4) She loves treat and food puzzles
5) She enjoys all types of toys, but is particularly a fan of tennis balls and chewy/chompy options.
She shows signs of having been poorly treated in her previous life and does take some time to build trust and show her truest self. She warms up faster to women than men, but she quickly settled in with all members of her foster family!
Come meet Gema! She loves you already.
Gema is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and spayed. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
