Meet Moonpie

Stop clicking, stop scrolling, your perfect cat is RIGHT HERE!!  Moonpie is quite possibly the best of all things cat.  She is SUPER affectionate and is quite the social butterfly.  She doesn't have a shy bone in her body and always wants to be where the people are.  She loves being picked up and carried around and will often stand up on her back legs and gently put her front paws on your legs to let you know that she wants up.  She has no 'off limits" spots when she's being pet.  She loves belly rubs and makes TONS of biscuits when she gets pets.  She loves to play and can make a toy out of just about anything.

Moonpie's story started out as a very sad one.  She came to ARF as a very pregnant cat and ended up miscarrying all 6 of her babies.  Shortly after losing her babies, a teeny tiny family of newborn kittens in need arrived.  Moonpie lept into action and took in the 4 babies and treated them as her very own.  They even looked like her!  It was very clear that she was absolutely in love with these babies and fed them day and night, barely leaving their side.  Without her, their fate may have been very different.  Now the babies no longer need Moonpie, and she's ready to step down from motherhood and get her chance to just be an amazing cat.

Moonpie has so much love to give and promises to be the most amazing companion.  She does great with kids of any age and has done well with other cats.  She would probably do just fine with dogs, given a proper introduction.  She would love a home with windows that she can look out of and a nice high cat tree where she can take naps in the sunshine.

Moonpie  is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,  spayed, and litter box trained.

Her adoption fee is $135 .  If you are interested in meeting Moonpie, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
