Meet Prairie

"Though she may be little, she is fierce.

That's me.

Adorable & petite, however, full of courage, personality & spunk.

Hi! I'm Prairie! The small one. The green-eyed one. The only one of my mother's children without a drop of white & again, green eyes. I also have a black - to - chocolate brown ombre coat. How cool, right?

Because I'm totally ok w/ rubs & am an affectionate sweetheart, I'll even let you touch said ombre coat. I also LOVE to climb on laps & even once climbed on one of my A.R.F. humans' back & shoulders! I'm a silly girl!

I'm in need of a home. A home where another young & fun kitty resides who won't immediately force themself on me would be great. I'm also ok to be your kitty cat FOR NOW, but I'd need a playmate soon. I kinda do my own thing when I'm not playing with my siblings & climbing on humans' backs so I'm ok without a kitty friend for a little bit.

My mom, River, has done an amazing job raising my siblings & I so I'd even love to have her come home with me! She LOVES us & we're her! NO DOGS FOR ME! Older & considerate kids who respect me are totally fine for me too.

Ready to have some fun & share some love?"

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
