Meet Michelle
Michelle is a 2 year old female Lab mix who weighs in at approximately 45 pounds. This dog's adoption fee is $450. If you are still interested, please read more below.
Michelle is a sweet, gentle, low-key dog. She has significantly improved since she first came to us. Michelle can take some time to get comfortable, but once she does, she is truly a sweetheart! She loves to cuddle with her humans! Michelle is calm and is good with kids once she gets to know them. She enjoys walks in the park and does well on a leash. She also loves to run free in large outdoor areas, but comes back immediately when called. She is housetrained and is able to alert her foster when she needs to go outside! Michelle will need time to get comfortable and acclimate to her new home. It took her a couple months to feel ready to leave the room that her bed is in, but now she enjoys the whole house and loves to be wherever the family is. She is still fearful of other dogs and new or unusual noises, but she just needs someone who can work with her. Meetings with Michelle will need to be at her foster’s home. It will take multiple meetings with Michelle. She is a truly special dog that deserves to find her forever home where she can flourish!
Attached is a video of Michelle running around and tossing her own ball in the air to run after it again! She also loves to wiggle around in the grass!

Michelle is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housetrained, and spayed. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
