Meet Omelette
This pup is an 8 week old Dachshund mix who weighs in at 5.5 pounds. Here is what this pup has to say:
Hello there, I'm Omelette, a sweet and charming pup with a heart full of love to share. My journey started in a challenging hoarding situation in Alabama, but today, I'm ready to bring warmth and happiness into your home.
I've been through a lot, but thanks to the care of my nurturing mother, I'm thriving at 8 weeks old. I've been trained to use a puppy pad, and I'm pretty good about taking care of business outside too. Plus, I've had some crate training, so I know how to be well-behaved and secure in my own space. Leash training is still on my to-do list, but I'm eager to learn and explore the world with you when the time comes.
One of the things that make me truly special is the unique spots I inherited from my wonderful mom. They add a touch of uniqueness to my already charming personality. Speaking of personality, I'm a cuddle bug and a half! I absolutely adore one-on-one attention from people, and I'll make you feel like the most important person in the world. Being held and cuddling on your lap? Oh, that's my idea of heaven!
I'm not just a cuddle buddy, though. I'm also super playful and always in the company of my siblings. Whether we're chasing toys or wrestling for fun, I'm all about enjoying life to the fullest.
I get along wonderfully with other dogs, so if you have a furry friend who could use a buddy, I'm your guy. And when it comes to kids, I'm a natural. I'm great with kids of any age, and I'll be a loyal and gentle companion to your little ones.
But here's the thing – I've got a boundless love for running and playing in the great outdoors. That's why I'd be happiest in a home with a fenced-in yard where I can stretch my legs and enjoy some freedom.
If you're ready for a loving and playful companion who's ready to shower you with affection, then look no further. I'm Omelette, and I'm here to make your days brighter, your heart warmer, and your family happier. Let's create beautiful memories together!
This pup is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed/neutered. The new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. The pup's adoption fee is $475. Please note ARF does not approve applications for any puppy under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting this pup fill out an online application today! https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting. ARF is an all volunteer organization. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved. Thank you for your patience!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
