Meet Carly
Hi my name is Carly a DSH brown tabby. I came into rescue pregnant. No one was “expecting” that!
My foster mom has a funny story about that. “So I’m downstairs in the rocking chair with Carly in my lap. I’m talking to her and ask her does she know how many kittens she’s going to have. 2? She just looks at me. 3? 4? Just looks at me. You’ve got to be kidding me. You’re not having 5? Just looks at me again. 6? Her paw shot up in the air.”
Carly had 5 kittens (2 boys and 3 girls) in less than 2 hours. Now it’s time for this svelte, swinging single to spread her wings and fly to her forever home.
Carly is mild mannered but can go wild playing with toys which she just recently discovered. She’s like a kitten herself when playing. She likes using the different cat scratching posts and perching in the cat trees and looking out the window. She greets you at the door and meows for your attention. She will let you pick her up and hold her. The length of time she’ll sit on your lap depends on what is going on around her.
Carly would do well with other cats with a proper introduction. She did meet a sweet “puppy” (all 95 pounds) at the vets office and they were exchanging Eskimo kisses through the door of her crate so a friendly dog might be a good companion also.
Carly is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained. Carly's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out our Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
