Meet Nora
Meet Nora, a 2 year old Terrier Mix who weighs in at 48 pounds. Nora is a smart girl who can sit, lay down, shake and high five. Nora is looking for her person to be affectionate and cuddly with. While Nora is the consummate cuddler, she will need some help with training--she will still jump on you when excited. Nora will thrive in a home with older or no kids and no other animals. Nora will resource guard her favorite things but if given a chew which she loves, if she is left alone or if the chew is tossed into her crate everything is fine. She is 100% crate trained. Full disclosure, she recently bit a visiting family member. Nora kept warning that she wanted to be left alone but the warning was not taken seriously leading to a bite. She has never had an issue before this.
When people come over, she will bark at people but if people just ignore her at first, she quickly warms up, especially if her parents give visiting friends treats to toss in Nora's direction and then let her decide when she wants to approach people. She is nervous with strangers (I am as well) but relaxes and warms up to new people quickly.
This well trained girl is looking for a quiet home with a fenced yard and a human who she can devote herself to that understands her. In return, she will be a loving, loyal, life long companion.
Nora is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and spayed. Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.
Nora's adoption fee is $400. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Nora fill out an Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
