Meet LoLo and Chilly (bonded pair)
Meet Chilly and LoLo, bonded sisters.
If you are looking for two gorgeous girls, here we are! We were born on 10/28/2022, outside and some kind people witnessed our being born outside their living room window. After weening off their mama, a neighborhood stray affectionately known as Mama Kitty, the kind couple safely trapped and turned them over to ARF, who got them ready to be adopted out. However, the kind husband missed the two kittens so much, they contacted ARF back and adopted them both! They had been living happily with them and were loved beyond measure.
But life happens. Sadly, the kind husband passed away due to a terminal illness in 2023. It was comforting to know LoLo and Chilly, gave him such joy. They gave him the reason to get up in the morning and the motivation to keep fighting during his last year.
Now, life is happening once again. His widow has recently moved and is living with another widower, their combined four children and two hunting dogs.
And, you guessed it. The hunting dogs are creating an extremely hostile environment for Chilly and LoLo so she has made the heart wrenching decision to return them to ARF so they can find their safe and loving forever home. They were raised with dogs, an English Mastiff and Chocolate Lab, so they are fine and used to dogs, not just ones that hunt and chase them.
Both LoLo and Chilly are truly amazing! Not only are they beautiful but they’re also super sweet. They come running when they are called and they both love having their nails trimmed, even purring while getting their mani and pedis!. They are not necessarily a huge fan of brushes yet but are ok when they’re relaxed and slowly being brushed. It could also be the right brush just hasn’t been used yet.
Chilly, the beautiful tabby, is a little shy initially but very curious. She is the watcher. She surveys her surroundings and when she feels safe, she will come running with one of her toys to play. She is very silly and loves lying on the back of your neck while you are hanging out on the couch.
LoLo, the beautiful, long-haired tuxedo, is the more adventurous, care-free one of the two. She is very brave and loves meeting new people and other animals. She lets Chilly know everything is fine and protects and comforts her if she is scared. She plays fetch with crumpled balls of tin foil and loves anything with a little cat nip sprinkled on it. She loves nuzzling you with her face and will make sure she puts her cute little face in your hand for petting and smooches.
They also like to steal things like a robe belt, drag it through the house, and then leave it in the dog’s water bowl. They may also leave other toys in their water bowl. They love to play with feathers and any type of chase toy and of course, their favorite thing to do in the whole wide world is to lay on a windowsill or cat tree and watch the birds.
They are not picky eaters and have currently been free fed and eat the dry Purina One Tender Selects Salmon cat food. Of course, they love to snack on Temptations cat treats. They do share a food and water bowl and use an XL covered litter box. When one of them goes potty, the other will stand on top of the box as a ‘lookout’.
They are just the best!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
