Meet Jane

Jane is an 8 year old 45 pound, female Australian Shepherd mix who is looking for a new home. Sadly Jane's previous owners went through a divorce and are unable to keep her, so she is now looking for a forever home. Jane loves cuddles and affection and wants nothing more than to spend her days next to her humans. She loves being outside and going for walks. At her wizened age she only needs a nice stroll or two a day to keep her happy.  Jane does get nervous around new dogs on leash and can be reactive towards them while on leash, so some distance between her and new dogs is recommended.  When meeting other dogs off leash she is friendly.  Jane is wonderful in the house, perfectly content to sleep all day.  She is house broken and crate trained and the perfect little lady to enjoy your evenings with while you snuggle on the couch together.

Jane does have anxiety meds and eye drops she gets daily, but she takes them like a champ. Jane is not cat safe, but could live with a calm dog and would be fine as the only dog in the home.

Jane is a wonderful dog and a very loving companion!  She will make a great addition to the right family.

Jane is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and spayed.  His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.

Jane's adoption fee is $300.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Jane fill out an Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
