Meet June Cleaver

We pulled June Cleaver from animal control as a pregnant cat. She developed a really bad upper respiratory infection and had a hard time breathing, so her foster took her to the vet. Here’s how that conversation went:

Vet: “So, June has a pretty significant upper respiratory infection…..and she’s not pregnant. We even did a scan to make sure. There are no kittens in her.”

Foster mom: “But she’s been getting rounder.”

Vet: “Well, so have I, and I’m not pregnant either.”

So, just like the plotline of many soap operas, June faked a pregnancy. Unlike the storyline of many soap operas, when the truth was revealed, June still gets her happy ending. She was given a few weeks of pampering and love while she recovered from her URI, then she got spayed so that she never has to worry about getting pregnant for real, and now she is ready for a forever home.

Junie is definitely not a petite flower. She has biceps that would make a bodybuilder jealous, and a really cute goofy face. She definitely likes her food and doesn’t mind having the pot belly to prove it. She is a very mellow girl who really likes the laser toy and the round track ball scratcher. She likes getting a big hug in the morning before breakfast. It took her a while to become a lap cat, and she does still prefer to be next to you more than on you, but she definitely loves attention and affection. She likes watching TV, and she’s a big fan of YouTube videos for cats. She chirps at the birds and squirrels. Junie will have great conversations with you, especially if she’s trying to convince you that she didn’t just have a snacky snack 10 minutes earlier.

June Cleaver is a 2 year old female who is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.

June Cleaver's adoption fee is $110.  If you are interested in meeting June Cleaver, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
