Meet Peach**NO MORE APPS**
Peach, otherwise known as Mama Peach, is a 2-3 year old lab/husky mix who weighs in at about 45 pounds. She was rescued from a kill shelter and imagine our surprise when she arrived on ARF transport with a single tiny baby present. Her pup, Scout, is now at a point where he can be adopted so it’s time to look for her forever home as well. Peach is a sweet, loving, affectionate girl. She gets along well with every cat and dog she meets. She is timid until she gets to know you, but once she does, she is a happy girl! She will do a happy dance with her front feet tap dancing on the floor, all while she smiles by lifting her lip on the left side, and her tail moves fast and furiously. Peach is a little hand shy when you approach her head to pet. But if you approach her head underhanded to initially scratched her chin, moving it up to her ears and top of head and then into a full body massage – – she could not be happier!
Her ideal home would have a fenced yard for her to run and play in —she is still learning to trust her humans when on a leash. Her new family would not have a lot of loud volume sounds or children running through the house, as very sudden movement or loud noises tend to startle and scare her. No matter what the situation is though, she doesn’t growl, snap, put her ears back, or try to bite you. She just lets you know she’s afraid and backs away. Her family would need to be prepared to be patient with her, initially letting her settle into the home and develop the trust she so desperately wants to give you. With regular scheduled times to have the dogs go outside to potty, she has had no accidents since the first week she arrived. Peach is starting to let us know when she needs to go out, but that is a skill set she is still developing. Peach has come a long way since she first came to ARF and is an absolute delight!
Peach is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed. Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.
Peach's adoption fee is $325. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Peach fill out an Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
