Welcome to ARF!

Animal Rescue Foundation -IL is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3), no-kill humane society. Our family of volunteers is dedicated to rescuing, fostering, and caring for homeless dogs and cats while we find them their forever homes. We promote spay/neuter programs to help reduce pet overpopulation and work within communities throughout Illinois to assist and educate the public about responsible pet ownership. As a proud participant in the nationwide “No More Homeless Pets” initiative our goal is to help bring about a time when all pets are valued and protected by their entire community.

Meet ethel

If you are in the market for cuddles and kisses we have the girl for you! Ethel is 2 years old,  about 6 pounds, 95% housebroken, and loves everyone. Such a fun loving happy girl! She loves to play with her foster brothers and sisters, but she really enjoys snuggling on laps.  Given her tiny stature, she would do best with older, mature children only. Ethel is micro-chipped, spayed, and up to date on all vaccinations.  Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  Ethel' s adoption fee is  adoption fee is $275.   A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Ethel, fill out an online application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

Meet ALBY

Miss Alby (shorted form of Alabaster) is almost all white, with a cute  gray spot on her head and a gray striped tail that sports one white chevron!  Such a beauty!  And she has a matching lovely personality.  Alby loves people and is happy to greet strangers and play with them, especially when they wave her “cat dancer” toy for her.  She likes other cats and enjoys following her foster mom around the house. Of course, she prefers to share sleeping space with her humans. If you are interested in meeting Alby, you can fill out an online application.  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting with the cat.  Filling out the application does not obligate you in any way!

Alby is female, spayed, about 2 to 3 years old (as of December 2016), microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, currently in a foster home, adoption fee $110.

Meet contessa

Contessa is a beautiful marbled tabby. She was pregnant and due to be euthanized when ARF saved her just in the nic of time! In fact, it was so close that she had her babies on the way to her foster home. After being a wonderful mom and caring for her babies, all the babies found their forever homes and now it is her turn! She is loving life as a house cat and absolutely loves attention and being brushed. She enjoys the company of her foster family’s resident cat however, she doesn't appreciate her canine foster siblings so she would do better in a home without dogs or a dog that is very used to cats. Her favorite thing to do is burrow in the blankets! It's like hide and seek!

If you are interested in meeting Contessa, you can fill out an online application.  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting with the cat.  Filling out the application does not obligate you in any way. Contessa will also be making appearances at ARF Adoption events

Meet Lincoln

Lincoln is a neutered male min pin. He is approximately 5-6 years old and weighs 15.5 pounds. He is a sweet little fella who gets along fine with people and other animals. He seems most happy snuggling under a blanket. In fact, he really loves to burrow and would probably be over the moon in a home where he was allowed in bed with his human(s). Lincoln is so sweet and pretty low energy. He likes going outside on walks, but wouldn't require a large home or backyard. He is very quiet and only barks when his foster brother really gets going about something. Lincoln seems house trained and gives his foster parents a heads up when he has to potty, usually spinning in a circle or whining by the front door. Lincoln is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered.  His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  Lincoln' s adoption fee is $250.

A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Hamilton fill out an online application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.
