Meet Hazel & Reese (bonded pair)
Double the Tortie, Double the Fun! Meet Hazel & Reese! (Bonded Pair)
Get ready for a lifetime of entertainment and purrs with Hazel and Reese! This incredibly bonded pair of female Tortoiseshell kittens is a complete package—they are confident, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining.
Having quickly adapted to life in foster care, they are now ready to bring their dynamic duo act to a forever home that promises plenty of playtime and cuddles.
Personalities:
- Hazel (more orange mottled): The Lightning McQueen of the pair, Hazel is a speedy sprinter with surprising endurance. She’s mastered fetch and loves to play it with her favorite fuzzy ball. Her jumps and mid-air twists are impressive. A fearless and playful spirit. A little more reserved at first but wants the cuddles and attention too, especially after a good workout.
- Reese (more black mottled with some white on her belly): The cuddle muffin. She's got legendary zoomies — anything can become a toy once she's revved up — but they're short bursts, and then she's ready to curl up again. She'll hop up and flop herself down on your lap like she owns the place. Loves string toys and her feather wand.
Together, they are a whirlwind of fun. In quick bursts, they'll chase each other in a blur of zoomies, bat toy mice across the floor, and wrestle like the best sisters they are — then, just as suddenly, they're spent. After burning off their energy, they transform into the ultimate cuddle crew, purring like motorboats as they curl up together or on a lucky human's lap. They're quick to greet you with sweet little chirps and meows when you come over, and they'll call each other if they get separated — a charming reminder of just how closely bonded they are. They play fiercely, but gently, with soft paws, and are pros at using their scratching posts. At the end of the day, you'll usually find them curled up together or nearby, recharging for their next play session.
Benefits of adopting a bonded pair:
Two kittens keep each other entertained — they'll play and get all their energy out on each other, in time for snuggles with you!
The kittens will teach each other "how to cat," building confidence and social skills
that carry over to their bond with people.
They groom each other, covering those hard-to-reach spots.
Watching two kittens wrestle is quite possibly the cutest thing you will ever see.
You'll save two lives instead of one!
Both cats are microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and litter box trained. The combined adoption fee is $330 ($165x2).
Please note A.R.F. does not approve applications for any kitten under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
