Tomás is a 4-year-old DLH Brown Tabby whose life was turned upside down after the passing of his beloved owner. One moment, he had a home filled with familiarity, warmth, and love… and the next, he found himself having to start over. He didn’t lose just a home, he lost his person. Through no fault of his own, Tomas is now waiting for someone to step in and give him the stability and love he so deeply deserves.

What makes Tomás so special is how incredibly loving he is, truly loving in the deepest sense. He doesn’t just coexist with you, he connects with you. He forms strong bonds with the people who care for him and shows his love in the most genuine ways… staying close, seeking affection, and giving his whole heart without hesitation. He does wonderfully with children ages 5 and up, especially those who understand how to be gentle and respectful with him.

Because of everything he has been through, Tomás would do best as the only cat in the home. He deserves a space where he can fully decompress, feel safe, and not have to compete for attention or navigate the stress of other animals. Proper adjustment time is so important for cats like Tomás, sudden changes or introductions can overwhelm them and impact their ability to settle in. He is currently at PetSmart in Naperville, being cared for while he waits for someone to choose him again… this time, forever.

Tomas is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.
