Meet Twirly

Twirly is a gentle soul who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. When you first meet her, she may come across as shy and a little scared, choosing to observe quietly from a distance. But beneath that timid exterior is a sweet girl who simply needs time, patience, and a calm presence to truly feel at ease. She thrives in environments where energy is soft, movements are gentle, and love is given without pressure.

She came to us from DuPage County alongside her brother, who has since found his forever home. Now, it is Twirly’s turn to find someone who will see her for who she is and give her the chance to blossom. With time, she begins to open up in the most beautiful ways, showing glimpses of trust, curiosity, and quiet affection. Those small moments feel extra special, because they are earned through patience and understanding. She is currently located at the Naperville PetSmart, waiting patiently for her person to find her

Twirly does well with other cats when given slow and proper introductions, and she may even find comfort in a feline companion. Dogs are currently unknown, but as always, a thoughtful and gradual introduction can make all the difference. She would do best in a home that is calm, graceful, and willing to move at her pace. Twirly may take a little time, but for the right person, she will be a deeply rewarding and loving companion

Twirly is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained. Twirly’s adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out our Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
