Meet Bridget
Bridget is equal parts charm and curiosity, with a personality that gently unfolds the more time you spend with her. The moment she feels safe, she melts, flopping over for pets, leaning into affection, and showing just how much she enjoys human connection. There is a playful and easygoing spirit in her that makes every interaction feel light and genuine, like she is simply happy to be in the moment with you.
Like Liberty, Bridget came from DuPage County, and the two are believed to have shared life together before arriving at the shelter. Their separation during intake created some initial distance, and they are still navigating that adjustment. But when they are able to spend time together outside of their spaces, a different side of Bridget emerges, one that plays, explores, and reconnects in a way that hints at a deeper bond still there beneath the surface.
Bridget would do beautifully in a home that offers both love and patience. She has already proven how affectionate and trusting she can be, and as she continues to settle in, her personality will only shine brighter. She can be good with other cats with slow and proper introductions. She is currently unknown with dogs, but with slow and thoughtful introductions, it can absolutely become a smooth and positive transition.
Whether she is lounging by your side or rediscovering her connection with Liberty, Bridget is ready for a fresh start filled with comfort, care, and a place to truly call home. She would love a family who is patient, understanding, and open to the possibility that her bond with Liberty may continue to grow over time
Bridget is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained. Bridget’s adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out our Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
