Meet Tortellini

Hello, I'm Tortellini AKA Luna which I prefer.  Right now I'm at the Darien Petsmart, very scared and don’t have the best attitude in a cage.  But give me some time to adjust and I will be just fine.  Here's my story.  I belonged to someone and then they had to leave me behind and not take me with them.  I got outside in winter and someone found me and took such great care of me.  It took a few weeks to try to understand why I was in a new home.  Moving forward they had cats already and were moving and I needed to find a new forever home.    I am very friendly and playful once you give me some time to adjust.  I love to sit next to you and hang out.  I get the zoomies a lot.   I did great with younger kids and would play with them.  No dogs for me either please.  They scare me.  I love feather toys and string toys, cardboard scratchers. I love or toys I can chase around.  And give me a window to watch the birds and I'm a happy cat.  Trust me I'm worth the wait if you can be patient.  Will you give me a chance?

Tortellini  is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,  spayed, and litter box trained.

Tortellini's adoption fee is $135.  If you are interested in meeting  Tortellini, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
