Meet Susie

Meet Susie, a friendly, playful, young adult cat who is approximately one year old. She has beautiful amber eyes that stand out against her black fur. She is a happy cat that purrs and purrs. She is OK with other cats, but she would also be fine living as an only cat.

She enjoys people

and she loves to play and then settle down as a lap cat. Susie is easy to work because she can be picked up, carried, and have her nails trimmed.

This beautiful cat was rescued in December by A.R.F. from a high-kill shelter. Unfortunately, at the end of the year, some shelters close down for the holidays. Susie was a favorite cat at the shelter and was lucky to be saved and to make the drive from southern Illinois to the western suburbs of Chicago.

Susie’s favorite things are playing with wand toys and the laser pointer, chasing little balls with bells, Churu treats, and sitting by the window in her cat tree.

Susie will

make someone really happy in her new home.

Susie

is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,

spayed

, and litter box trained.

Susie

's adoption fee is $135.  If you are interested in meeting Susie, please fill out our Online Application today!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
