Meet Carla
Carla is small, fierce, and absolutely running the place—whether you like it or not.
This firecracker has BIG personality packed into a tiny kitten body. Like her Cheers namesake, Carla is bold, outspoken (yes, she talks back), and just a little unhinged in the most lovable way. She’s the kitten equivalent of spicy—sweet underneath, but definitely brings the heat.
Play Style:
Carla plays like she’s got a vendetta against toys. She pounces with purpose, bunny-kicks with enthusiasm, and attacks wand toys as if they personally offended her. Zoomies? Oh yes. Random sideways hops? Constant. She’s high-energy, fast, and hilariously dramatic—sometimes launching herself into play with no clear plan except chaos. After burning off that energy, she crashes hard and sleeps like nothing ever happened.
Temperament:
Carla is affectionate, but in a scrappy, ride-or-die way. She bonds strongly with her people and is incredibly loyal. She may swat the air, puff up, or zoom past you like a blur—but it’s all playful, not aggressive. She’s a little crazy, a little dramatic, and 100% entertaining. Think “tiny tornado with a heart of gold.”
Social Skills:
Good with kids, cats, and dogs, though she prefers to be the boss. She’ll hold her own, set boundaries, and then cuddle like a champion once everyone knows who’s in charge.
If you’re looking for a kitten with attitude, humor, and chaotic energy wrapped in a tiny body, Carla is ready to spice up your life and steal your heart—probably while yelling about it.
We encourage you to consider adopting kittens in pairs! There are several reasons why
Carla
would do good with a friend, including:
-Two kittens keep each other entertained - they will play and get all their energy out on each other in time for snuggles with you!
-Having two kittens to play with each other prevents "I'm lonely and bored" behavioral issues.
-Watching two kittens wrestle is quite possibly the cutest thing you will ever see.
-The kittens will teach each other "how to cat" and learn to be more social with humans and people.
-You'll save two lives instead of one!
Carla
is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations,
spayed
, and litter box trained.
Carla
's adoption fee is $165. Please note A.R.F. does not approve applications for any kitten under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
