Meet Petunia

Some cats wear their hearts on their sleeves. Petunia carries hers quietly, waiting for the person who will show her that she's finally home.

Petunia was surrendered through no fault of her own. She was loved by her previous family, but their resident cat simply couldn't adjust to having another feline in the home. Wanting the best for everyone involved, they made the incredibly difficult decision to give Petunia the opportunity to find a family where she could truly thrive.

Today, Petunia is settling into a loving foster home where she's learning that the world isn't so scary after all. Every day, her confidence grows a little more. She may not be the first cat to greet you at the door, but she notices every act of kindness, every gentle word, and every quiet moment spent beside her.

Petunia's future family will need to give her the gift of patience. She'll need time to adjust, explore at her own pace, and realize she's safe. But once she does, you'll gain a loyal companion who will happily curl up beside you, follow you from room to room, and become your very best friend and favourite cuddle buddy.

Every cat deserves someone who sees beyond their fears. Petunia isn't looking for perfection. She's simply looking for someone who will give her the time to bloom into the incredible companion we already know she is.

Petunia is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.

Petunia's adoption fee is $135.  If you are interested in meeting  her, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
