Meet Chia
Hi everyone! My name is Chia and I am a handsome black kitty with gorgeous green eyes. If you’re looking for a lap cat, look no further than me. I would love to find a forever family that will sit on the couch, tap their lap, and let me crawl on their legs to get endless cuddles. I could truly sit in your lap for hours at a time, just enjoying the soft pets. I have lots of pics of me laying in my foster family’s lap because it’s truly my favorite place to be.
I absolutely love eye rubs, ear scratches, pets on the back, and tail pets. I don’t love belly rubs at the moment but I’m working on it with my foster family. I don’t love getting into my carrier and I often get stressed at the vet office, like most kitties. But as soon as I get back home, I immediately switch back to my usual happy lover cat vibe.
I’m a very calm kitty and would love to be part of a calm household so I would do best as an only pet with no kids. I would do really well with a person or family the works from home because I’d be the perfect lap work cat. But I’m also totally okay spending the day by myself, so I would also do great in a home with someone who works out of the house but is still willing to give me kisses and cuddles at night. Just think about how awesome it would be to get to come home to unconditional love after a hard day of work!
If you’re interested in me, I’d love to tell you a bit more about myself. I am a huge lover of wet food, dry food, and churus. So basically any food! I also love my cat tree for playing and sleeping. My foster family sometimes finds me chilling in the bathroom sink in the cutest and most cuddly position. Trust me, I can get comfortable anywhere. Would you be willing to meet me and see if I would fit into your family? If you’re looking for a purr machine that would love nothing more than endless attention, I bet I would be the perfect cat for you. Apply for me, Chia, today!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
