Meet Girl Friday & Sidekick (*bonded pair)
Girl Friday (or Momma, as we call her) and her little buddy, Sidekick, might just be the cutest
mother/son pair around. These two love spending time together eating lots of treats and playing with as many toys as they can get their paws on. Sidekick is quite the ham! He is super silly and loves to run and jump, sometimes all over his momma. Their absolute favorite toys are wand toys, especially the ones that have feathers at the end. You won’t believe how high Sidekick can jump! They will chase them until they are panting. Momma and her baby can very often be found playing chase together. Sidekick even enjoys running in his big cat wheel. They have such great energy and are so full of life.
Momma is an amazing companion. She loves to be held and carried around. She can’t wait to explore everything and will often hide from her baby only to sneak attack him, sending him running. Her fur is such an amazing color, super soft, and she absolutely loves to be brushed. Chin and neck scratches are her favorites. She always wants to be around people and will provide great company. She does great with scratching only on her scratching posts and has great litterbox habits.
Sidekick is a bit goofy. He always puts his paws up on your legs, letting you know that he wants to be picked up. When you pick him up, the first thing he wants to do it smell your face and give you kisses. He insists on being where the action is and is the furthest thing from shy. He is such a social butterfly.
Both Girl Friday and Sidekick have tiny little meows and will use them to let you know when they want something, usually treats or love. Even though Sidekick is all grown up now, Momma is still always attentive and grooms him regularly. They almost always take naps together, curled up in the cutest cuddle puddle. There’s nowhere Sidekick would rather be than with his mommy. They enjoy tall cat trees and naps in the sunshine. They would love a home with some great windows that they can look out of.
Girl Friday and Sidekick are an amazing duo, and are all that you could want in a pair of cats. They need to be the only cats in their forever home. They haven’t been exposed to dogs, so if you have one, they will need time to be properly introduced to your friendly, cat-loving pup. They are very easy going and would do great in a home with gentle kids of any age.
Girl Friday & Sidekick are

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
