Meet Brownie
I'm easy-going and endlessly loving. I love to jump up on the couch and nuzzle until I get pets and head scratches. I just can’t get enough love, so I’ll often stand up on my tippy toes to rub my whole body against your legs. I will melt your heart as well as melt into your arms, and my loud purr is absolutely intoxicating! When I’m not hunting for love, I love to stalk and kill toy mice. I like to carry them around to show off my skills! While I enjoy hunting solo, I also love to wrestle and chase other cats. I make the cutest little chirps to call to my kitty friends when I want to play. Not only am I smart, loving, and friendly, I also clean up after myself! I'm always spending a bit of extra time pawing the floor to make sure everything is neat and tidy around the litter boxes.
I’d be a great friend for you and your other cats! I need to live in a home with at least one young or playful cat. Not only do I need a playmate, but I get sad without another kitty to groom and snuggle. Because I love other cats so much, it’s very easy to introduce me to other cats. I’m a little wary around territorial males and larger cats, but I get along with them once we get acquainted. I’m shy around new people, but when you get to know me I will always want to be around to love you and ask for pets. My ideal owner is a knowledgeable cat parent in a home that won't frighten me, so preferably no young children or dogs. A respectful teenaged human sibling would be okay. While I would prefer that snuggling and playing with me be your full-time job, I’m purr-fectly content to play with my kitty siblings until you get home.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
