Meet Stanley
Stanley is a 4-year-old, 17-pound Rat Terrier mix with a face that will melt your heart. This resilient boy is looking for his forever home, where he can continue his journey toward healing and happiness.
Stanley’s past hasn’t been easy – he was brought to an ER facility by the police after a hit-and-run accident left him with several pelvic fractures. Despite this tough start, Stanley is a true fighter. He's made incredible progress since his injury, and while he still requires some rehab to strengthen his rear end, he gets around just fine on his own two legs – and can even be fast when he wants to be!
Stanley is currently using a cart to assist with his mobility, though he’s still learning to use it. His determination and spirit shine through as he continues to make progress every day.
Here’s what you need to know about Stanley:
Sweet and Social: Stanley loves being around people and other dogs, although he enjoys being the center of attention. While he’s currently living with three other dogs, Stanley would likely prefer to be your one and only pup.
Ideal Home: Stanley does best with women and would thrive in a home with a female owner. He can be a little shy at first, especially around men, but with patience and some tasty treats, he warms up quickly and will bond deeply with his person.
Low Maintenance, High Love: While Stanley isn’t high-energy, he’s a loyal companion who loves to sit by your side. Whether you’re reading a book, watching TV, or just relaxing, Stanley is content to be right next to you.
Stanley will need an experienced, patient, and loving adopter who can help him continue his rehabilitation and give him the attention he deserves. His adoption fee is $250, and he’s ready to find his forever home with someone who will provide him with the care and love he craves.
If you’re ready to open your heart to Stanley, please reach out today. His love and devotion are waiting for you!
Stanley is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
