Meet Gabby
MEOW Hi MEOW my MEOW name MEOW is MEOW Gabby MEOW. Can you guess how I got my name?
Gabby has been let down by people. She was dumped on the doorstep of a shelter. She needs an adopter with cat knowledge, a lot of love and even more patience. She would probably do well as the only cat. No small children.
When she came into rescue it was determined that she was in dire need of a dental. She ended up having 5 extractions. She is a real foodie so it hasn’t affected her eating habits. She likes “Greenies dental treats” and gets them every day to help with dental hygiene.
Gabby meows for your attention. She will rub against your leg and purr. We thought she was afraid of men but as it turns out she doesn’t like people towering over her. Her foster dad is over 6 feet tall but if he comes down to her level she is more receptive to pets and scratches from him. Her foster mom sits on the floor and Gabby will climb onto her lap for some lovin’.
Noises don’t seem to bother her. At most, she will look in the direction of the noise. Quick, sudden movements startle her. Gabby does not like being picked up and held. She’s not fond of being put in a carrier but we’ve been putting her treats in a carrier to get her used to going in the carrier.
Gabby is microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter-box trained.
Gabby’s adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out our Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
