Meet Misti Mae

Hi!  I am Misti Mae, a mom, who a few months ago had five beautiful kittens.  I am a stunning black panther-like cat with a unique white crest.  My foster’s granddaughter thinks I might have some Bombay in me based on my looks and personality.   I am just the sweetest, most social people cat ever!  I am so social, even the water softener delivery guy and the vet commented on how it is so amazing that I am so sweet, even with people I have just met.

While I enjoyed being a mom, I must admit, it got a little boring because all I really want to do is hang out with my people.  As you can see from my pictures, I just look at you with that, “I love you” look as you continue to pet me for however long.  But don’t get the wrong idea, I am not needy, per se, just am happiest hanging out wherever you are.  While I like to play some, my favorite thing to do is pretty much, just chill.  I can chill wherever, e.g., on your lap, next to you, on a cat tree, looking out a window, pretty much anywhere you are.  I’m also a talker, but being very polite, I talk softly.  I am a true food lover and as you can see from my pictures, I give you ‘the look’ when you need to hurry up and feed me.  So, I would appreciate someone who agrees with me that food is absolutely incredible.  I am not a picky eater, still like to play with cat toys and am fond of the cat tree and cardboard scratching posts.  I think I’m good with other cats but at this point, I’m not a huge fan of dogs as I haven’t been around any.  It’s people that I’m looking for, the more, the merrier!

Misti Mae is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained. Misti Mae's adoption fee is $135.  If you are interested in meeting Misti Mae, please fill out our Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

  • Pre-adoption medical exam
  • A certificate for a free healthy pet exam at one of A.R.F.’s participating veterinarians within 7 days of adoption

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
