Meet Harlow
Intelligent and curious, dynamic calico Harlow loves people - especially adults and respectful, calm older children. Harlow will happily greet you by slinking around your legs, rubbing against your ankles, reaching for your hand, eager to say hello and receive gentle pets. She adores being with people and will follow you around the house, popping up on the sofa or your bed to sleep with you.
As an adult cat, she is calm at her foster home and well-behaved. She does not bother the furniture or decorations. Harlow is clean and conscientious about using her litter box. She sits nicely with the resident child, seriously supervising the homework, art, and puzzle making sessions. For now, Harlow does not play much, but is engaged with her foster family and everything going on around her. Once she feels safe in her forever home with a loving family, that may change and she may begin to enjoy playing with balls, springs and toys.
Well-behaved, Harlow can be trusted in a home and is often left alone while her humans are out. All is well when they return. Harlow does not enjoy other animals. She is very frightened and defensive even when the other cats/dogs are gentle and minding their own business. For this reason, Harlow must be the only pet in a home with gentle and respectful adults and older children. She does not like to be closed up in small rooms/places and will cry loudly and scratch at the door to be free. As your only Queen, Harlow will be loving, affectionate and an excellent companion, rewarding you with snuggles, purrs and loving chirps.
Harlow is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.
Harlow's adoption fee is $135.00; If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out our Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
