Meet Kimber

Kimber is an approximately 3 year old female boxer mix. She weighs approximately 45 pounds. She is looking for a home either without any other dogs, or with a human who is willing to slowly introduce her to the other dogs.  Kimber has done well with dogs larger than her, but does not do well with dominant small dogs.  She would be the perfect dog for an energetic family.  Kimber loves to run around the back yard, so a fenced yard would be great!

She rides in the car well and enjoys resting quietly in her crate at night and when her foster is away.  She is very well trained with come and sit. She walks well on the leash.  She comes when called and goes in her house (crate) when told.  She takes food very gently. Kimber does not chew on toys, bones, or anything else.  She may have the occasional accident in the house, but is crate trained.

Kimber is a very loving, happy girl - a social butterfly. She greets you with a wagging tail. She will likely stand up against you to say hi, but is very gentle - she doesn't jump. When her foster mom is sitting down Kimber will come up to her, put her front paws on mom's lap, lean in and lay her head on mom's chest and look up at her. It's so sweet!

Kimber is such a sweet and well mannered dog!

Kimber is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations and spayed.  Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.

Kimber's adoption fee is $425.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Kimber fill out an Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
