Meet Kenzie

Kenzie is a 2 year old female Lab/hound mix who weighs in at 42 pounds.

Kenzie has improved immensely since first coming to ARF. She is very sweet and adapts to being around different people.

She gets a kick out of taunting her foster's 7 pound female cat. The cat stands her ground.  The male cats in the home runs.  She chases them but does not attack or harm them.

She rides well in the car. It does takes her about five minutes into the ride for her to settle in. She walks well on the leash and takes treats very gently.

Kenzie does not know her name or at least doesn't come when called but does come when whistled for.

She loves being called good girl and looks forward to the treat "good girl" brings.

She is working hard on potty training. Just when her foster thinks she has got it, whoops!  She has tells, but it's "gotta go" right now.  She also uses the pee pads 95% of the time. Kenzie is crate trained; she might howl (yes howl) for a few minutes but then quiets down. She sometimes needs to be coaxed to go in, other times she will walk right in. Oh, even though there are bones and toys all over, she will chew...anything.  So, she will do best in a household with minimal things laying around.  She loves paper. She's pretty smart, so continued training will help.  A steady loving home will speed up her progress. Her foster has taught her to sit in the short time since coming to ARF.

Kenzie is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed.  Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.

Kenzie's adoption fee is $450.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Kenzie fill out an Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
