Meet Oliver

Oliver is a 15 pound, 8 year old male Poodle/Terrier mix who finds himself looking for a new home. He has had a hard time adjusting to recent changes in his life, and with more changes to come, his owner feels he would do better in a home with an older person or couple.  Oliver is looking for someone with an established life with no major changes ahead.  He is very affectionate with his person(s), however does have trust issues and has difficulty opening up to others, which can lead to defensive fearful reactions.  For these reasons, Oliver is looking for a home without children.  Oliver likes to spend time with his person/people and will follow you everywhere. Oliver is happy laying/sleeping near his family.  He likes to walk and run, so having a backyard is a plus.  He is fully housebroken. Oliver is not very noisy, except when someone is at the door.  He is an exceptional watchdog!  Oliver is not a fan of fireworks and will panic if near large fireworks.  And, depending on his mood, he may get worked up near the vacuum cleaner and lawnmower. Oliver is not food aggressive, loves most treats, and is not picky about dog food.  He is an intelligent dog and can pick up different sleep, work, and meal schedules.  This little guy is playful, attentive and looking for a quiet place to call home.

Oliver is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered. His new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  He is good with dogs his size and smaller.  He has not been observed with larger dogs or cats.

Oliver's adoption fee is $300.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Oliver fill out an Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
