Meet Cadia

Cadia is the sweetest cat with the saddest story to tell. She was found as a stray and taken to animal control – a place she found very scary. Cadia shut down while in the shelter and felt very stressed living in close quarters to all the other animals. She waited six long weeks hoping the right human would come along and save her and that’s where ARF stepped in. The moment she got into her foster home, she began to feel safe and loved – and that’s when she started to bloom. While we don’t know anything about Cadia’s life before being picked up on the street, it seems clear that she must have spent most of her life as a house cat, as she adjusted to home life very quickly.

Cadia is the goodest girl and there is nothing that thrills her more than being snuggled up next to a person and getting pets. She loves looking out of windows and taking naps – she can often be found under a blanket taking a snooze. At night, she curls up next to her person to watch TV; she doesn’t care what the show is, as long as you are happy. Cadia is not overly playful and has done well with people of all ages (including toddlers, kids, adults and seniors). She would make a perfect companion in almost any home but would love to be Queen of the castle. Trust us, she has more than enough love to give!

  • Pre-adoption medical exam
  • A certificate for a free healthy pet exam at one of A.R.F.’s participating veterinarians within 7 days of adoption

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
