Meet Peanut -- Bonded With Butters!

My name’s PEANUT.  I’m 8 lbs smaller than my brother BUTTERS and quite the opposite.  We lost our home when the mom became allergic to us after having COVID.  They tried for a year, eventually keeping us in a separate room, but it just wasn’t fair.  My favorite thing is a tall cat tower, preferably by a window.  I like to sit on a windowsill looking outside, swat at string toys, and play with my brother.  I spent most of my days hanging out in the daughter’s room, usually alone.  I hide when guests are over, and prefer being left alone until I want some attention or to play.  I’m a bit independent, not needy or demanding.  I can be cuddly and a Lap Cat when I’m in the mood.  Love cheek and face rubs!  I’m fine with a calm dog; good with a gentle kid over 10. Me and BUTTERS are a Bonded Pair and must be adopted together.  We’re a great pair -- you’ll LOVE us!!  **

Peanut can be seen at the Aurora Petsmart (976 N. Rt. 59).

He is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.

Peanut and Butters' adoption fee is $250 -- a savings of $20!  If you are interested in meeting Peanut and Butters, fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an A.R.F. volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
