Meet Ariel

Ariel is a 2-3 year old female Terrier mix who weighs in at 20 pounds.  She is good with other dogs and cats and has yet to be observed around children, but she is a playful girl!  Ariel is potty pad trained.

Here is what Ariel would like you to know about her:

I was terrified when I first arrived with ARF, but I have realized that all these people are here to help me, not hurt me.  That was not always the case.  The people in my life before were not so nice like they are now.  They kept me in a metal cage which I hated - I thought I could chew my way out, but that did not work and now I have fewer teeth for my efforts.  I really like my foster mom and now I never leave her side after I ran away the 1st day and terrified myself even more than I was before.  I am learning to relax and play with my foster sisters and I run around the yard and get the zoomies.  I find these toys around the house and they are fun to toss around and chew on.  When I first came to ARF, I didn't speak human and having the other dogs in my foster home to translate really helped.  Now I think I would be ok with or without dog siblings.

Getting pets from the humans is super awesome and each time I go up to one of them in the house they give me pets, which is great!  I think I am going to like this new chapter in my life!!  I am ready for you - are you ready for a 3 year old puppy?

Ariel is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed.  Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.

Ariel's adoption fee is $350.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Ariel fill out an Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

  • Age-appropriate testing for heartworm/FIV-FELV
  • Age-appropriate vaccines
  • Pre-adoption medical exam
  • A certificate for a free healthy pet exam at one of A.R.F.’s participating veterinarians within 7 days of adoption

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
