Meet Oscar

My humans dumped me at a shelter.  Set me on the floor in my carrier and walked away.  Hi, I’m OSCAR,  and I still think people are the best thing since catnip!  I am a cuddly kitty and follow my foster mom like a puppy.  I enjoy being brushed, and I let her trim my nails while I was napping.  How’s THAT for ‘easygoing’?  I am terrified of dogs.  An laidback, playful male cat around my age is okay (with a proper intro), but I’m purr-fectly content to be your only pet.  A gentle, well-behaved child 8+ is okay too.  I will do best with adults who are home a lot to keep me company.  A low-stress home is important – not too busy or noisy, not a lot of visitors or changes.  I am young, healthy, playful, and have lots of energy.  When I get the ‘zoomies’ I fly up and down the stairs.  My favorite toy is ‘Baby,’ my Yeoww kicker.  I love to show off my kicking skills!  A store cage is too loud and stressful, so I get to stay in my foster home ‘til some wonderful human adopts me.  I am a sweetheart and looking for someone to love! If you have the home I need, click the link below and fill out a no-obligation application and let's meet!

Oscar is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.

Oscar's adoption fee is $135.  If  you are interested in meeting Oscar, fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an A.R.F. volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
