Meet Matcha and Chai (bonded pair)
Matcha and Chai were born in foster care on an April morning 4 years ago. Their mom was a small little calico who was a pregnant rescue named Chamomile and she gave birth to 3 boys- Matcha, Chai, and Earl Grey. The two orange boys were adopted as a pair to a loving mom who has cared for them since they were tiny babies. Unfortunately life isn't always easy and she recently reached out to me (their original foster mom) to share some sad news about her declining health. As a loving cat guardian she wanted to make sure her boys were safe and cared for and that they find a home together. I promised her that they would always be together and I vowed to find them the perfect home. That is their backstory- now they need to write the rest of their story! These two babies could not be sweeter or more orange. Orange in color, orange in personality, and orange as in real life Garfields that will totally steal your heart with their adorable antics. These two are certified hunks with love and kisses to spare. They love and support each other but they also love to be with their humans. They are 4 years young, perfect gentleman, and still very playful and fun. Weighing in at around 22 pounds (each) they are expert cuddlers and a living, breathing weighted blanket. We went back to their original names for clerical purposes but they answer to their given names and come running when called. Maxi Moo is the bigger boy and he has bright green eyes and Noonie Bird is about a pound lighter with amber eyes. These sweet boys deserve a second chance and the good forever home that I promised their mom I would find them.
Matcha and Chai are micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
