Meet Gigi

This is Miss Gigi. When she arrived at ARF she had 7 kittens with her. After they were weaned and she got healthy and was spayed, Gigi was moved to a home. Because she was very shy and scared, she needed a quiet place to decompress and get acclimated to living inside. She went to the perfect place with a single grandma aged lady that gave her all the time she needed to relax. Gigi lived there for four and a half years where she happily snuggled up next to her lady and slept on her bed with her. When her owner suddenly passed away Gigi moved to a foster home with people she already knew. She settled in very quickly and it looked like she would stay. There were four other cats in the foster’s home and it was just too much for Gigi and she got aggressive with the other cats. At the same time she was very sweet with her foster.

Gigi will thrive in a quiet home with a single person or two who are able to be patient for a while and no other pets. Your patience will be rewarded with a sweet affectionate little girl who purrs every time you scratch her head and chin. You can meet Miss Gigi at the Wheaton Pet Smart and her foster will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Gigi is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.

Gigi's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Gigi, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
