Meet Brandi

Meet Brandi, a 2-3 year old coonhound weighing in at approximately 45 pounds.

She’s a sweet girl who enjoys being outside and by your side. Brandi was a bit skittish when she first arrived at ARF, likely being from a rural area, away from people and suburban noises. She has adjusted well to new sounds, sudden movements and new people since being in her foster home. She loves to go on leashed walks, she just needs a bit of direction as she likes to weave and stop to search for squirrels in trees. Given her interest in small animals, she would be better suited in a home without cats or other small animals. However, she loves playing with other dogs, toys and chewing on bones. Her fosters have been working on her potty training and she has improved immensely over the past month. When kept on a schedule and limiting/monitoring her water intake, she has no issues. She’s extremely food motivated, which is helpful for her training (potty and commands). She enjoys having her neck and ears rubbed and will nuzzle into you. Once she’s comfortable with you she enjoys cuddling up by your side. She does well in her crate when her foster humans are gone and is happy when they return! At night, she sleeps on her dog bed and in the morning she’ll greet you around 7:30 (if you’re not already up) to go potty and have breakfast. She’s a great girl who just wants to be loved!

Brandi is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed.  Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.

Brandi's adoption fee is $375.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting Brandi fill out an Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
