Meet Muffin

Only the best home for Muffin! She is a very special girl. She came to us in March with four one-week-old kittens and took spectacular care of them. Once the kittens didn’t need her anymore, and even after her spay, she helped us with three orphans that needed a mom for a while. She gave the orphan kittens a much better shot at life until her milk stopped, even though they yanked at her post-spay belly and were very demanding babies that weren’t even hers. She was just amazing, and continues to be a wonderful cat. Muffin is not even slightly shy around people. She loves people, and she is very open and confident. She shows affection by rubbing her head all over you, and if she’s in a spunky mood, she will try to gently massage your scalp with her teeth like she’s grooming you. It’s amusing for about 10 seconds, and then you just redirect her to a toy.

Muffin is very playful for an adult cat. She seems to be finding her inner kitten again, enjoying the opportunity to just be a cat, and not a mom. Now that Muffin isn’t caring for kittens in a dedicated foster room, she is being given more access to her foster home. She loves exploring the whole house. She is slowly being introduced to the resident cats. There is still some unfriendly chatter going on, but it’s only been a couple days, and the introduction is being made very slowly between doors, as we always recommend to adopters too. If you are looking for a sweet, friendly, happy girl to add to your home, meet Muffin!

Muffin is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.

Muffin's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Muffin, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
