Meet Big Ben
They call me BIG BEN. I don’t know why .. and you can change it on our way home. Wish I could tell you what life was like before I was rescued. Let’s just say it was rough – and I looked pretty rough when I first arrived. I am all white, with a black tail and some black on my head. I was in a foster home awhile soaking up some much-needed TLC. My foster mom says I’m more of an observer than a participant. NOT the bravest cat. (I won't leave my cage, so I just sit here day after day.) I loved sitting in her lap and purring. I'm a huge fan of petting and gentle tummy rubs. Adorable, loving, and SO sweet -- that's me! VERY fond of eating! I found a half-empty bag of treats one night, chewed a hole in it and ate them all. Even if I beg and plead, don’t overfeed me. Not sure how I feel about cats. Or dogs. A gentle, well-behaved kid 8+ is fine – and adults are awesome! I will do best in a home that's not too busy or noisy (again, not the bravest cat). Looking for a lover? **
Big Ben can be seen at Naperville Pet Supplies Plus (720 E. Ogden Avenue).
He is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained.
His adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Big Ben, fill out our Online Application today!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
