Meet Laurel

Thinking of adopting a pair of low-key cats? Then Laurel and Hayden could be just what you were looking for. This mother and son pair are looking for a quiet home where they can lounge around, window-gaze, and hang out with their humans.

Laurel (the black and white cat) came to ARF as a mother to five, including Hayden. She cared for her kittens well, showing endless patience as they played around her. And despite having quite the resting face, Laurel is one of the gentlest cats that her foster dad has met. She never turns down a hand that reaches to pet her, and often flops over to show her belly. Laurel can be playful as well, gladly swatting at feather teasers and other frilly toys. She also likes to use scratching pads and the scratching post.

Hayden showed the closest bond to his mother, Laurel, often rubbing up and cuddling with her. He was also the most easygoing of the litter, often preferring to relax instead of wrestling. As he’s grown up, his personality has begun to bloom. Hayden often talks to his foster dad when he enters their room. He could be trying to convey his desire to either be a furniture mover or interior designer, as he loves to move his bed and blanket around the room. Like Laurel, he also loves to receive pets and plays with the feather teaser when presented. He also loves to use scratching pads.

Laurel and Hayden are micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and litter box trained.

Laurel and Hayden's combined adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in meeting Laurel and Hayden, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
